Obese folk at higher risk of dying from covid-19

Article in Straits Times today by the Arden Metabolic team.
Due a variety of factors, people who are overweight, obese and have other chronic disease such as diabetes and hypertension have been found to develop more severe and deadly COVID-19 infections.

S’poreans could face a higher risk of obesity & it’s not all about the lifestyle

Obesity is associated with a higher risk of multiple medical complications including diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Treatment can be challenging and requires a personalised approach. Excellent article discussing this topic with my other colleagues including Dr Jaideep Rao of Arden JR Surgery.
